The universe is totally stalking me about books this week. This is the 3rd post I've read about this book! (I have also read 2 posts about that book Secrets of a Former Fat Girl. Guess I'd better get to the library.

And I'm with you - on the cloth diapers, snooty moms, AND free-range kids!!

Aw tnx for the shoutout!

I should read that book. I will look for it at the library this weekend. I will be the first to tell you I am up tight with my kids and overprotective. I used to run free all over as a kid too. Now I am scared to even let mine be alone in there rooms too long. ((They are plotting on me in there, I tell you.))

I will have to check out this book for a coworker. I was raised the same way you were. Be home before the sun goes down was the motto in my house. I have a coworker who wont even let her child go into the back yard without her being back there with him! I'm a stong believer in letting kids be kids. let them get dirty and learn from their mistakes. thanks for the recommendation
